Covers of my favourite books, as I imagine them.
Travelling around UK and Europe, these illustrations are my impressions of the places visited.
Nature is wonderful. Surrounded by trees, flowers, rocks, rivers I feel powerful and inspired. That’s why my illustrations are filled with nature impressions, depicting lights and shadows, playful breeze or moody skies, waves, grass…
Songbook is the title of my master’s project, on the subject of visualizing sound. The project explores the structure of the book and the idea of portraying sound with a book format. The idea was to make an artist’s book that will add a visual element to the musical piece - inspired by the atmosphere of the music, not the narrative. The video element was an experiment, but I decided to proceed with it as it added a performance quality to the project and tied everything together.
My new concertina book inspired by Neil Gaiman’s poem Going Wodwoo, about ‘leaving the way of words to walk the wood’ and being ‘the forest’s man’.
I loved this poem and Neil Gaiman’s writing for some time and wanted to give it my personal touch.
